South African singer and songwriter Marshin Hendrix is set to make waves this weekend with the release of her debut album, “If You Love Me, Show Me,” launching on Friday, August 2nd on Mdundo.com.

At just 26 years old, Marshin is already known for her deep, soulful voice and  emotional storytelling.

The album is a collection of twelve tracks that explore love, vulnerability, heartbreak, healing, and the courage to ask for more.

The title alone carries the message she hopes will speak to many: If you love me, don’t just say it—show it.

“This album is me being brave enough to say, ‘I want to be loved loudly. I want to be chosen,” Marshin says in a behind-the-scenes video shared ahead of the launch.

“Music gave me a voice when I didn’t know how to speak. I hope this album does the same for others,” she adds.

She started singing in church and school choirs as a young girl, eventually finding her way into theatre and jazz ensembles.

Described by Dreambox Studios SA as “a velvet wildfire,” Marshin blends R&B, jazz, soul, and Afro-pop into a sound that is both classic and contemporary. Her music often centers around stories of Black womanhood, inner healing, and spiritual growth.

“I was raised by women who taught me to be strong, to speak my truth,” she shared.

“Now I’m turning that truth into music.”

Produced in collaboration with Danish composer Carsten Lehn, “If You Love Me, Show Me” is both vulnerable and commanding. From the haunting notes of “Kissed by an Angel” to the anthemic power of “More Than Enough,” the album offers a full emotional journey.

The themes go beyond love and relationships—Marshin also touches on faith, identity, and self-worth.

The title track is a plea for honest, visible love, while other songs reflect on grief, joy, and the strength it takes to heal.

The release is supported by Dreambox Studios SA and Mdundo Music, where it will be available for download and streaming starting August 2nd.

Marshin has been steadily growing her audience through platforms like TikTok and  YouTube, where she shares live performances, vocal snippets, and reflections from her creative process.

Her fans often describe her voice as soothing and timeless, drawing comparisons to both local and international soul queens.

With her debut album, she is ready to go further:

“I want people to feel like they’re not alone. That there’s power in softness, and in asking for love.”
