Ayrra Starr is set to drop a new album in July titled, “Starr Girl.”

This time, there's no age, no number,  just a full artistic identity.

The world is ready.

Before "Starr Girl," let's take a walk through the ages.

Born Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, music was never far from her home as she started writing songs with her brother Dami at 10.

In 2019, she started posting covers on Instagram, and  Don Jazzy noticed her and she was  signed to Mavin Records.

The rest is history, but what a history it is.

Her self-titled debut EP dropped in January 2021 and it  went straight into everybody's heart and mind.

The lead single, “Away”,  was a global sensation and an introduction to so much more to come.

In August 2021, Ayra Starr dropped a statement with, “19 & Dangerous.”

Her lead single,  “Bloody Samaritan”,  made history as the first solo song by a female artist to reach Number 1 on Nigeria's TurnTable Top 50.

“Rush” took the world by storm. It landed on Barack Obama's personal playlist and earned her a Grammy nomination for Best African Music Performance.

She was the youngest Nigerian female artist ever nominated.

Between 2022 and 2024, Ayra Starr was everywhere, and not just performing. She was representing in prestigious magazine covers, sold-out world tours, global stages and historic firsts.

She gave a face and voice to the hopes and dreams of young African women watching from home.

On May 31, 2024, she released her coming-of-age story, “The Year I Turned 21.”

It explored themes of grief, love, heartbreak, empowerment, and more and the album got her a billion streams on Spotify, Billboard 200 and  Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage.

Ayra Starr speaks up on national issues, lending her voice even when the backlash is heavy and the numbers show how much her audience love it.

She engages her fans, acknowledging their videos, their dance challenges, their trends.

She sees them.

As her fans patiently wait for the much anticipated album to be dropped in July,  this time, there's no age, no number — just a full artistic identity.

Bolder, more genre-diverse, and shaped by everything she's lived. She's described it as deeply personal, a project she can't wait for the world to hear.
